Geraldine Nix, age 86, of Forest City, passed away October 13, 2021.

Geraldine was born August 16, 1935 in Rutherford County to the late Walter James Bailey and Altha Cooper Bailey. She worked at J.C. Cowan for 25 years. Geraldine was a member of Gray's Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Audrey Philbeck and Faye Earley and a brother, Royce Bailey.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Tammy Morrow (Eddie) of Rutherfordton, Tonda Pye (Wayne Smith) of Casar; son, Terry Davis (Lynn) of Dallas, sister, Pat Bedford of Forest City; brothers, Bobby Bailey (Linda) of Forest City and Walter Bailey (Ann) of Shelby, 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held October 19, 2021 at Gray's Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Ezell officiating.
