Geraldine Silvers Montgomery, age 74, of Forest City, NC, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013. 

Geraldine was born October 2, 1938 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Bulo L. Silvers and Vera Henderson Silvers.  She worked in textiles most of her life and was of the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed quilting and playing bingo.

      In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jessie A. Silvers and two sisters, Inez Wall and Betty Hicks.

Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Kelly and husband, Gary of Greenville, SC and Barbara Byers of Ohio; one brother, Otis Silvers and wife, Margaret of Chesnee, SC; two sisters, Dot Street Tesseneer and husband, Maynard of Forest City and Frieda Gillis of Greenville. She is also survived by one grandson, Chris Kelly of Greenville.

Funeral services were conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Bob Philbeck officiating.  Interment followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
