Gertrude F. Adams, age 88, of Cowpens, SC, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2011.  

    Funeral services were held at the Harrelson Funeral Home Chapel.

     Gertrude was born August 27, 1923 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Richard Frazier and Emma Lowery Frazier.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Adams; one brother, R.P. Frazier and a great grandson Bradley James Tavernia.     Survivors include two daughters, Christine A. Lawing and husband, Johnny R. and June A. Hawkins of Lexington, KY; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren.

    Memorial donations are suggested to Harrelson Funeral Home, 1251 US Highway 221A, Forest City, NC  28043 to help defray funeral expenses.
