Gloria Ann Sorrells Wells, 75, of Forest City, passed away, May 13, 2018.

A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Roswell King Sorrells and Myrtle Dean Sorrells. Gloria was a homemaker and a faithful member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Forest City. She loved to sing, loved the Lord and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She was also known for being an excellent cook and received great joy from keeping children where she received her nickname "GoGo". Gloria gave her hand and heart in everything she did and left everyone with a kind word.

Survivors include her husband William R. "Billy" Wells, of the home, daughters, Lisa Wells Bradley (Jerry) of Forest City, Jill Wells Overton (Roger) of Gastonia, and Lori Wells Thompson (Jody) of Rutherfordton; brothers, William "Bud" Sorrells (Peggy) of Dallas, and Raymond Sorrells (Shirley) of Forest City; a sister, Marjorie Sorrells Clayton of Forest City; 8 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. There are also a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Rev. Roger Overton, Rev. Bob Philbeck, Rev. Matt Mills, and Rev. Owen Duncan officiated. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
