Hazel Davis Street, age 74 of Bostic, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2015.

She was a native of Rutherford County and a daughter of the late Horace Henry and Myrtle Melton Davis. She was charter member of Friendship Baptist Church, was a former Sunday School Teacher, played the Piano and Organ in the church and served as church secretary and clerk. Hazel enjoyed working with the elderly and youth groups in the church and was a devoted, wife and loving mother and grandmother. Her devotion to her grandchildren was evident in all the she did for them. She worked for Doncaster/Tanner Companies where she retired after 36 years of service.

Survivors include her husband, Reverend Dr. Charles Street of the home, two daughters, Deborah Lynn Street Allen and husband Barry of Bostic, Pamela Joy Street Hawkins and husband Kelly of Forest City, two grandchildren, Dusty Lee Allen and wife Jennifer, Ashley Marie Parker and husband Jeremy, and five great-grandchildren, Landon, Wesley, and Lauren Allen, Dylan and Trent Parker.

Graveside services were held in the Bostic Cemetery in Bostic. Memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church, 176 Bostic Sunshine Highway, Bostic, NC 28018.
