Hazel Hutchins Greene, age 91

Hazel Hutchins Greene, age 91 of Ellenboro, NC, passed away December 1, 2023.

She was born May 16, 1932 in Rutheford County to the late Burley Miller Hutchins and the late Myrtle Elizabeth Conner Hutchins. She was the widow to the late S. Clyde Greene and a life long homemaker.

She is survived by a special niece that she raised as her own, Shannon Scism, her sisters; Shirley Bright of Shelby, Lucille Miller and husband Wayne of Boiling Springs, Ruth Byers of Ellenboro, and Geneva Wilson of Ellenboro, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many many more of her babies as she called them.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Fred Hutchins and three sisters; Jean Harris, Murial Talent and Mildred McDaniel.

The funeral was held December 6 in the A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel at Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside with Rev. Robby Hensley officiating.
