Hazel Painter Jones, 83, of the State Line Community, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2013. 

A native of Spartanburg County, SC, she was born on December 24, 1929, a daughter of the late Romeo and Lonie Parris Painter. She retired from Arrow Automotive. Mrs. Jones was also an active member of State Line Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Betty Hamett. She is survived by her husband, Hoyle Jones; one daughter, Brenda J. Walker and husband Linnie of the State Line Community; two brothers, Roy Painter of Gaffney and Ronnie Painter of Chesnee; two grandchildren, Stephanie Towe and husband Ted and Shane  Walker; her great grandchildren, Hannah Towe, Matthew Towe, Ila Grace Towe, and Baylee Walker.

Funeral services were held at State Line Baptist Church with the Rev. Kris Showen and Rev. Ray Heffner officiating. Burial followed in the State Line Baptist Church Cemetery.
