Helen Cannon Byers, 88, of Caroleen passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019.

A native of Caroleen, she was the daughter of Alfred Lloyd Cannon and Martha Priscilla Baynard Cannon, of Avondale. She is survived by her loving husband of seventy-years, Garland F. Byers, Sr.; daughter, Susan B. Williams (Russell) of Caroleen; one son, Garland F. Byers, Jr., of Caroleen; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and one sister, Marie C. Phillips, also of Caroleen.

Funeral services were held at the Caroleen United Methodist Church with a private burial following at the family cemetery on Byers Road.

In lieu of flowers, the family graciously asks that contributions be made to Caroleen United Methodist Church or The Chase Corner Ministries or Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.
