Hellon Harris Bagwell, age 85 of Forest City passed away Monday, June 1, 2015.

She was a native of Rutherford County and a daughter of the late William and Cora Funderburke Harris. Hellon was a member of Missionary Wesleyan Church in Forest City and retired from Spindale Mills Corporation. She also enjoyed working as a volunteer in the Rutherford Hospital Auxiliary where she served for ten years. Her husband, Lewis Herman Bagwell preceded her in death in 2010.

Survivors include her son, Von Bagwell and wife Trudy of Mt. Holly, NC, a sister, Bobbie Harris Vickers and husband Clyde of Forest City, grandson, Eric Bagwell of Mt. Holly and two great-grandchildren, Kali Bagwell and Zack Hughes.

Funeral services were held in the Missionary Wesleyan Church with Reverend Steve Beam officiating. Interment followed in the Cool Springs Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Missionary Wesleyan Church, 811 Doggett Road, Forest City, NC 28043.
