Herman Young Brackett, 93, formerly of Cliffside, passed away March 8, 2021.

A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Robert Brackett and Docie Padgett Brackett and widower of Gaynell Harris Brackett. Herman was a US Navy Veteran of World War II.

In addition to Mrs. Brackett and his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, brothers, Esko, Romie, Robert Jr., Monroe, and Ambres, and sisters, Fan, Ethel, Hazel, Vertie, and Mae.

Survivors include his son Richard Brackett and wife Karen of Stokesdale, NC, and a grandson, and Fiancé of Greensboro, NC.

A service from the graveside was held at Cliffside Cemetery.
