Forest City Police Lt. James Hoppes recently graduated from the North Carolina Justice Academy’s Management Development Program at Sampson Community College. Lt. Hoppes joined 20 other law enforcement executives in graduating the 26th Management Development Program. The yearlong experience includes a curriculum involving a comprehensive and in-depth examination of the complex issues of law enforcement management, as well as the actual application of learned management and leadership skills. Hoppes is a 20-year veteran of the Forest City Police Department, and is the third Forest City Police executive to graduate from the program in the past three years.
