James Andrew Shelton, 90, of Mooresboro, passed away Friday, March 7, 2014. 

A native of Olive Hill, KY, he was the son of the late Arthur and Minnie Stephens Shelton. He was a retired machinist for aircraft manufacturing. James was a US Army veteran of WWII and a former member of the VFW.  

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Joyce Sandra Shelton.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine Miller Shelton of the home; sons, James Arthur Shelton of Transylvania County and Jerry Lee Shelton of Mooresboro; daughter Janet Lucille Stepp of Mill Spring; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

No services are placed at this time.
