James Edward Horton, age 82

James Edward Horton, age 82 of Mooresboro, NC, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023.

He was born February 22, 1941 in Charlotte to the late James Andrew Horton and the late Katherine Nash Horton. James was a US Air Force veteran and retired from Duke Power after 33 years.

James is survived by his wife Glenda Horton, two grandsons, his step son Barry Brindle.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his son Brian Scott Horton, his brother Kenneth Horton, his step son Erik Stephen Horton.

At the request of James there will be no services held and the family asks that in his memory that you be more kind to those that you come in contact with because the world needs more kindness.
