James Hoyt Butler age 77

James Hoyt Butler age 77 of Forest City died January 25, 2022.

Born November 5, 1944, in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late J.A. Butler and Lela Camp Butler. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from Mastercraft Corporation.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Irene McCorkle and Patsy Searcy, brother Billy Butler and step-son, Kevin Morgan.

Surviving are his wife, Martha Flynn Butler; daughters, Shelley Butler (Ronald) of Forest City, Christy Brown (Matt) of Rutherfordton; step-son, Wyman Morgan (Rosemary) of Green Hill; a sister, Kathleen Arrowood of Forest City; five grandchildren.

A graveside service was held January 28, 2022 at the Eternal Hills Memorial Park with Matt Brown and Danny Seigfried officiating. Military Honors were accorded by The Rutherford County Honor Guard.
