Janet Louise Calder peacefully passed away on October 29, 2021. She was 72.

Janet is preceded in death by her mother, Louise Wilson, of York, SC and her father, Bredell Mead, of Barboursville, West Virginia.

She is survived by her husband John Calder; children: Bryan Vassey, Timothy Vassey, Elisha Kerr, Christi Thompson; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held November 2 at Bill's Creek Baptist Church.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills PO Box 336 Forest City NC 28043.
