JANIE SHORT HUFFSTICKLER

July 16, 1949 - January 22, 2020. Janie was born in Shelby, NC to Beacher Burl "BB" Short of Forest City and the late Venar Williams Short.

In addition to her mother Janie was preceded in death by her brother Jimmy Edward Short.

Left to honor her memory and celebrate her life is Jim Huffstickler, her husband of fifty two years; daughter Renee Lowery (Brian) of Ellenboro, and a son Chad Huffstickler (Amanda) of Ellenboro. Two grandchildren, a sister Judy Freeman of Ellenboro; brothers, Tommy Short (Jo) and Berlon Short (Mary) all of Ellenboro; sister-in law Dee Ledbetter (Bert);

A funeral service was held in the Crowe Funeral Chapel, Rutherfordton.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, PO Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043.

Crowe's Mortuary and Crematory is serving the family.
