Jerry Wade Hamrick, age 82 of Bostic, died Tuesday, April 28, 2026.

Jerry was born July 24, 1943, in Rutherford County and was a son of the late Theodore Hamrick and Helen Hearn Hamrick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Marie Hamrick Lancaster, Max Hamrick and Ted Hamrick.

Jerry was a self-employed building contractor in Rutherford County in the 1970s through 1981. He then worked as a construction manager with a commercial building company serving in Asheville, Charlotte and Florida throughout the 1980's.

In 1996 he moved to Pineville, SC where he managed and oversaw the maintenance at Harry's Campground on Santee Cooper Lake. He chartered fishing trips and spent his time fishing and enjoying lake life before he moved back to Bostic in 2025.

He is survived by his children, Clint Hamrick and wife Gina Haynes Hamrick, Chadd Hamrick and his grandchildren Garrett Hamrick- his wife Zea, Chandler Hamrick- his wife Renea, Hayden Hamrick Burgess- her husband Cooper and great grandchildren Ash Hamrick and Boone Burgess.

His wishes are for his ashes to be placed in Santee Cooper Lake at Harry's Campground at a later date with close family and friends.
