Jessie Hollifield Maloney Hudson, 89 of Forest City died Monday, December 5, 2023.

She was born July 30, 1934, in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Quinton and Pearl Wells Hollifield. Jessie was a graduate of Sunshine High School and retired from The Town of Forest City. After her retirement from the town, she worked for several years with Graham Cash Company in Forest City. She was a member of Harriet Memorial Freewill Baptist Church in Caroleen.

She is survived by her son Johnny Maloney (Jo Ann) and daughter Janet Maloney Gettys all of Bostic, four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. Clyde J. Maloney; second husband Ralph Hudson; daughter Marilyn Maloney Butler; sister Dessie Chapman and son-in-law Wayne Gettys.

The funeral was held December 9 in The Padgett & King Chapel with Rev. Mike Cash officiating.
