Jettie Loucynthia Carroll Crook, 88

Jettie Loucynthia Carroll Crook, 88, of Rutherfordton, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019.

A native of Polk County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Cora Mae Fowler Carroll. Jettie was a retired textile inspector, avid gardener and a member of Crestview Baptist Church.

Jettie volunteered at Rutherford Regional Medical Center, White Oak Manor, Meals on Wheels, and many other organizations. Jettie also worked at Belk for several years. Jettie was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister who took great pride in her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jane C. Lail of Forest City, Connie C. Summer and husband Garry of Shelby; sister Iva Jane Wall of Forest City; sisters in law, Angelina Carroll of Mocksville, NC and Lucy Carroll of Forest City; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren,

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Raymond L. Crook; son, David L. Crook, US Navy; brothers, Grady Carroll, Marvin Carroll and Howard (Bill) Carroll.

Funeral services were held at Crowe's Chapel. Burial will be private.
