Joe Mills Causby, 82, of Ellenboro, died Saturday, October 22, 2022.

Born in Rutherford county, he was a son of the late John Freelin Causby and Dona Hudson Causby, and widower of the late Joann Sowens Causby. Joe worked in textiles and was a member and deacon of Community Baptist Church.

Survivors include sons Arthur Causby and wife Darcy of Lancaster, SC, and John Causby and wife Sherry of Ellenboro, brother Johnnie Causby and wife Carolyn of Walnut Grove, GA; seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his son, Joey Causby, brother, Howard Causby, and sister, Evelyn Stacey.

A memorial service was held October 26 in the Padgett & King Chapel with Rev. Dale Austin officiating.
