Johnnie Mayberry Shytle, 62 of Spindale passed away August 12, 2023. He was the son of the late Mirl Livingston Shytle and Estelle Yelton Shytle.

Johnnie was a member of Main Street Baptist Church in Spindale. During his working years Johnnie was a long-haul trucker and master mechanic.

Left to cherish his memory are a daughter Julie Whitley and his siblings Gail Champion (James), Bobby Yelton (Shirley), Dennis Yelton, Peggy Taylor, Dorothy Kay "Susie" Byers (Bud), Michael Shytle (Sharon) and Jeff Shytle (Connie), and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter Lily Dawn Vess.

A memorial service was held August 17 in Crowe's Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Snelgrove and Rev. Mike Deese officiating.
