Joseph Paul Andre Levesque, age 74 of Forest City passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016.

Joseph was born February 2, 1942 in Lewiston, Maine and was a son of the late Roger P. Levesque and Gertrude Montreuil Levesque. He honorably served his country in both the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War and retired in 1980 at the rank of Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Medford Levesque, a son, Joseph "Jody" Levesque, two infant siblings and his brothers, Maurice P. Levesque, Emile P. Levesque, Bertrand L. Levesque, Michael D. Levesque and sister, Jacqueline Levesque Ouellette.

Survivors include his son, Kenny Levesque and wife Shanna of Maiden, NC, his daughter, Paula Levesque Rumple and husband Jeff of Statesville, NC, his brother, Donat Joseph Levesque of Maine, and his five grandchildren.

A memorial service was held in The Padgett and King Chapel with Military Honors accorded on the chapel lawn by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
