Juanita Shields, 82, of Rutherfordton, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022.

A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Suttle and Eunice Leona Skipper Fortune. Juanita was a peach farmer.

Left to cherish her memories are daughter, Judy Morrow and husband Caleb; granddaughter, Jessica Michelle Morrow, sisters Doris Fortune Lee, Shirley Fortune McIntosh and Barbara Fortune McKinney.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Horace Herman Shields and brother, Wayne Fortune.

Funeral services were held June 11 at Crowe's Mortuary with Rev. Marie Graeper officiating.
