Junior Womack, age 95, of Anderson, SC formerly of Ellenboro, NC passed away January 6, 2022.

unior was born December 25, 1926 in Polk County to the late Collette R. Womack and Olar Byers Womack. He was a veteran of the US Army and served honorably during World War II. Junior worked as a correctional officer for the NC Department of Corrections. He also owned and operated J.C. Enterprises. Junior was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church in Mill Spring.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Iris Rose Womack and second wife, Betty Louis Clark Womack; a son, Jeffery Womack and several brothers and sisters.

Left to cherish fond memories are his brothers, Wayne Womack of Texas and Johnny Womack of Forest City; son, Richard Womack of Mill Spring and stepson, Gary Clark (Nell) of Piedmont, SC.

The funeral was held January 13, 2022 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ned Owens officiating.
