Katie Lee Sherrin Miller, 8

Katie Lee Sherrin Miller, 82, of Mooresboro, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, June 30, 2012. A native of Mecklenburg County, she was born on September 22, 1929, a daughter of the late Rollin and Jessie Medlin Sherrin. She was a homemaker and member of Sandy Run Baptist Church. She loved cooking and good vegetables. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Miller. She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis Howell of Lattimore, Mary Mortimer and husband John of Mooresboro, Sharon Hawkins and fiancé Kenneth Hamrick of Mooresboro; one brother, Charlie Glaze of Charlotte; her grandchildren, Miranda Weathers, Deanna Holland, Brooke Stranford, Ashley Wall, Eric Stranford, and Valkyrie Boeke; her great-grandchildren, Zachary Kloosterman, Billy Driskill, Jerry Driskill, Dakota Holland, Jayden Mintz, Tony Weeks, Dylan Sperling, Matthew Sperling, Ava Sperling, Jakobe Patachee, Benjamin Wyatt, Xavier Stranford.

Funeral services were held at Sandy Run Baptist Church with the Rev. Andy Oliver and Rev. Andrew Rawls officiating. Burial followed at Sandy Run Baptist Church Cemetery.
