Kerry Martin Hanvy, 71, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023.

Kerry was born to the late Frank E. and Margaret V. (McKennon) Hanvy. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Frank E. Hanvy, Jr. and Grady A. Hanvy; and sisters, Linda G. Blair, Sharon K. Cummons, and Betty L. Salisbury.

Kerry leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Helen B. Hanvy; a daughter Lorri H. (Michael S.) Short, sons, Brian M. (Cindy S.) Hanvy, and Philip A. (Christina G.) Hanvy; daughter, Short; six grandchildren, brothers, Terry E. (Susie) Hanvy, and Nathan W. Hanvy.

Kerry was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a proud Vietnam War Veteran from 1970-1972 where he served as a helicopter mechanic with a rank of Corporal.

Funeral services were held August 8 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Forest City.
