Laura Evalee Hopper, age 75

Laura Evalee Hopper, age 75 of Ellenboro passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015. 

She was born February 14, 1940 in Rutherford County and was a member of Piedmont Baptist Church in Rutherfordton.  Evalee was a Registered Nurse and received her nursing degree from Gaston School of Nursing in Gastonia, NC.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Reverend Ad Hopper, four sons, Marty Hopper and wife Skeet of Ellenboro, Mitch Hopper and wife Casey of York, SC, Matt Hopper and wife Rebecca of Ellenboro and Mark Hopper and wife Sharon of Henderson, NC, her mother, Virginia Churchwell of Sandy Mush, brother, J. W. Pace of Advance, NC, sisters, Sherland Poteat of Dallas, NC and Karen Maxwell of Rutherfordton.

There are also ten grandchildren, Lukas Hopper and wife Amie, Laura Hopper Ray and husband Jason, Callan Hopper gaines, Hollis Hopper, Molly Hopper, Maggie Hopper, Addie Lee Hopper, Robert Hopper, Jack Hopper and Eva Hopper.

Funeral service was held in the Corinth Baptist church with Reverend Michael Conner and Reverend Dr. Barry K. Keys officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
