Lillian Blankenship Hudson, age 91 of Forest City passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016.

She was a native of Rutherford County and a daughter of the late Myrtle Blankenship Head and George Head, Sr. Lillian worked for thirty years at Spindale Mills where she retired in the Preparation Department and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Forest City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Avery Hudson.

Survivors include her daughter, Dianne Hudson Muskopf of Euless, Texas, one granddaughter and one grandson, as well as three great-grandchildren, two brothers, Reid Head of Rutherfordton, Donald Head of Forest City, four sisters, Fern Huntsinger, Pat Gettys and Helen Taylor of Forest City and Shirley Holland of Rutherfordton.

The funeral service was held in The Padgett and King Chapel with Reverend Dr. Neil Haynes and Andy Greene officiating. Interment followed in the Cool Springs Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, Post Office Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
