Linda Carol Simmons Kaulf, beloved wife of Stewart Kaulf, pased away January 26, 2022.

Linda was born May 1, 1949 in Shelby, and grew up in Rutherford County. She was the daughter of the late Victor Joe Simmons and Mary Cauble Simmons. She graduated from East Rutherford High School and Gardner-Webb University with a B.S. in Psychology. She later received her Master's degree at Western Carolina University.

Linda went on to serve the state of N.C. as a Probation and Parole Officer and later retired as Chief Probation/Parole Officer of Rutherford County.

Linda was a devoted mother to daughters, Tanya Michelle Hunnicutt Wiley (David) of Panama City Beach, FL; Tara Danielle Hunnicutt Calton (Tim) of Rutherfordton; and Hayley Leigh Hunnicutt Suttle (Robby) of Rutherfordton. She was a loving grandmother to her 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Linda is survived by siblings Steve Simmons (Vickie) of Oriental; JoEllen Short (Tommy) of Mooresboro; and Mike Simmons (Pat) of Shelby, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Services were held February 6, 2022 at the Chapel of Padgett & King Mortuary in Forest City.
