Lloyd Derreberry, 66, of Henrietta, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2012. 

A native of Cherokee County, NC, he was born on March 5, 1946, a son of the late Leeroy and Ula Garrett Derreberry. He worked in the construction industry. He was an avid fisherman and coon hunter. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Diane Derreberry. He is survived by his wife, Emma Jean Camp Derreberry; sons, Lloyd Shane Derreberry and wife Sheila of Henrietta, Lloyd Kimsey Derreberry and wife Amy of Ellenboro, Lloyd Shane Derreberry, Jr., Cody Lee Derreberry, Joshua Eric Derrberry, all of Henrietta; one daughter, Wendy Lee Alexander and husband Steven of Caroleen; four brothers, Charles, Lowell, Henry, and Ronnie Derreberry; four sisters, Vestie Connley, Margaret Taylor, Linda Fisher, and Louise Limpley; his grandchildren, Lloyd Shane Derreberry, Jr., Cody Lee Derreberry, Elijah Cole Alexander, Jonathan Kimsey Derreberry, Noah James Alexander, Joshua Eric Derreberry, Luke Garrett Alexander, Jesse Lee Alexander, Silas Josiah Alexander, and Hannah Kay Derreberry. 

At the request of the family, no formal services will be held.
