Lois Spicer Hallock, age 60, of Rutherfordton

Lois Spicer Hallock, age 60, wife of David Martin Hallock, of Rutherfordton passed away July 17, 2026.

A native of Henderson County, she was preceded in death by her parents James and Coralee Spicer and sister Elaine. Lois was a valuable and highly respected employee of Rumbling Bald Resort in Lake Lure.

Those left to cherish her memory, in addition to her husband, include her children Joshua and Timothy Meadows and Ashley Ford; siblings Candie, Jessie and Junior.

A celebration of Lois' life was held July 26 at Grassy Knob Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Rev. Mike Roberts officiated.
