Luis Javier Gaytan-Ortega, 67, transitioned to his Heavenly home Tuesday, November 21, 2022.

He was born in Mexico City to the late Luis Gaytan Medel and Maria Del Carmen Ortega-Silva.

Luis leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife Elisa Laura Mercado, son Luis Carlos Gaytan-Mercado, daughter Monica Gaytan Mercado, brother Ruben Gaytan-Ortega, sister Myriam Gaytan-Ortega, numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

He was a Chemist in the Food Industry for 14 years in Mexico, an Industrial Chemist at Glenoit Corporation for 7 years and worked with Environmental Services for Advent Health for 12 years.

Services are to be held at Fletcher Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 1141 Howard Gap Rd., Fletcher, NC 28732 December 10, from 3-5pm.
