Lure of the Dragons Race and Festival

The Eighth Annual Lure of the Dragons dragon boat race and festival will be held Saturday, June 13, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. behind the Pinnacle Sotheby's International Realty Center. Teams come from across the Southeast to take part in the race. Each boat is 36-feet long, and race teams are comprised of 10 paddlers, one drummer and one steersman. Each year the event services as a fundraiser, and beneficiaries are Camp Lurecrest and Hickory Nut Gorge Outreach. For more information, visit lureofthedragons.org.
