Luther “Luke” Thomas Cruise, Jr., age 84, of Mooresboro, passed away Friday, September 19, 2014. 

A native of Beckley, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Luther Thomas Cruise, Sr. and Nora Taylor Cruise. He retired from General Motors as a machine builder, and was a veteran having served in the US Army during the Korean conflict.

Survivors include three daughters, Rosalie Shook of Mooresboro, Michele Thompson of Rock Hill, SC, Mary Cruise Elliott of Knoxville, TN a brother, Dennis Cruise of Cleveland, OH. There are seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be private for the family at a later time. 

The Padgett and King Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
