Lynn McDaniel, age 72, of Forest City, passed away Friday, June 4, 2021.

Lynn was born Sunday, September 12, 1948, in Rutherford County to the late Woody McDaniel and Ruth Godfrey McDaniel. He served his country honorably in the US Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the local DAV Chapter #25 and had served on the Rutherford County Honor Guard.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Glenda McDaniel; sister, Elaine Kinney and a brother, Junior McDaniel.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of thirty-two years, Beverly McDaniel; children, Christy McDaniel (Robin) of Spindale, Eddie McDaniel (Amanda) of Forest City, Brian Oursler (Summer) of Harris, Wendy Kirby of Gaffney and Colt Kent McDaniel of Forest City; brother, Kenneth McDaniel (Sue) of Gaffney and a sister, Carolyn Humphries of Jacksonville, Florida. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a close friend, Junior Pritchard of Harris.

The funeral service was conducted at Hicks Grove Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery with Military honors being accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
