Madge Silvers Brookshire, age 81, of Forest City went to her Heavenly Reward on Wednesday, January 13, 1016.

Madge was a native of Yancey County a retired kinder garden teacher and homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Spindale. Madge was preceded in death by her husband Willie Augustus Brookshire, mother Martha Lucille Silvers, son Larry Dean Brookshire, grandchild Dana Danelle Seifres and great grandson Logan David Seifres.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Anna Carolyn Brookshire, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were held at Crowe's Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Andy Evans officiating. Burial will be in the Western Carolina Veterans Cemetery at a later date.

Crowe's Mortuary is assisting the family.
