Margaret Foster Newman, 91

Margaret Foster Newman, 91, of Rutherfordton, passed away Monday, February 20, 2023.

A native of Polk County, she was the daughter of the late Bayne and Revelee Dill Foster. Margaret retired as a supervisor in the textile industry.

Left to cherish her memories are sisters, Jean Randall of Hendersonville, Betty Davis of Charlotte; brother, Robert Foster of Pickens, SC; and Nick Foster of Saluda.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Newman, sister Juanita Whiteside and brothers Bill and John Foster.

Graveside services were held February 23 at Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbus.
