Margie McGuinn Bailey, age 95

Margie McGuinn Bailey, age 95, of Rutherfordton, died November 25, 2021.

She was the daughter of the late Willie B. McGuinn and the late Gartha Bradley McGuinn.

Margie was a native of Polk County and a member of Grays Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Pharis Emmanuel Bailey; daughters Elizabeth Martin, Gertrude Maney and Carolyn Cooper; sons Harold Bailey, Adin Bailey and Leon Bailey; sisters Marie Earwood, Betty Coston; brothers Marvin McGuinn, Clarence McGuinn; grandsons Jonathan Cooper, William Bailey.

Survivors include son Samuel Hicks Bailey and wife Juanita, daughter Janice McSwain, twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, sisters Naomi Pressley and husband Robert, Ruby Seay and husband Bob and Ramona Turner, brother Marion McGuinn and wife Debra, sister-in-law Jane McGuinn.

A graveside service was held December 1, 2021 at Big Level Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Randall Cooper and Rev. George Whitmire officiating.
