Marie Blanton Smith, age 55, of Mooresboro, NC, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012.
Marie was born May 16, 1956 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Robert Earl Carder and Mary Ann Ellen Earls Carder. She was a member of Sandy Run Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen Wayne Blanton and wife, Tracy of Lincolnton and Ethan James Johnson of Eagle Lake, Florida; three daughters, Karen Denise Jaynes and husband, Steven Horner of Statesville, Stephanie Marie Johnson and Treva Ellen Johnson both of Eagle Lake; one sister, Zelda Greene of Sandy Mush; one niece, Donna Reynolds and two great nieces, Bryanna McLaughlin and Arrabella Blanton.
Funeral services were conducted at Sandy Run Baptist Church.
Memorial donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 120 Executive Park, Building 1, Asheville, NC 28801.
