Marilynn Wilkie Thompson Valdez, 60

Marilynn Wilkie Thompson Valdez, 60, of Forest City, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2012. 

A native of Rutherford County, she was born on June 14, 1952, a daughter of the late Lynn C. and Grace Lee Henson Wilkie. She worked for Perdue Farms of Concord and was a member of Prospect Baptist Church. 

She is survived by her husband, Cruz Valdez; one son, David Franklin Weese and wife Kimber of Virginia; one brother, Steve Wilkie and wife Vickie of Cliffside; one granddaughter, Olivia Weese of Virginia; special friend, Cheryl Anderson of Forest City. 

A Celebration of Life Service was held at Prospect Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernie Cole officiating.
