Marion Albert "Jack" Nanney, 86, of Union Mills, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2020. The service, with military honors, was held at Round Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents Walter Dewey and Fannie Koon Nanney, his sister Louise Crowe, brother, Alvin Nanney, a grandson and a granddaughter. He is survived by his wife Barbara Searcy Nanney; five daughters Jackie & Randy Wallace, Natalie & Leonard Archer, Kaye & Mark McKinney, Stacey Moulin, and Merri Nanney; eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one brother Hugh Nanney (Colene), two sisters Nadine Rippey and Annette Shehan. Jack served his country in the U.S. Navy. He also advocated for his fellow servicemen by encouraging family members of POW/MIA's to submit DNA, so that the remains of these veterans can be identified and returned home to their families.
