Martin Wayne Byers, age 73, of Forest City, passed away February 14, 2022.

Martin was born January 6, 1949 in Rutherford County to the late James L. Byers and Tina Haeg Byers. He was a graduate of East Rutherford High School, and attended Gardner-Webb University. Martin worked for Cone Mills-Avondale Plant for many years and most recently worked for Thieman Manufacturing Technologies.

Left to cherish fond memories are his wife of 43 years, Anita Byers; daughter, Natalie Lynch (Alan) of Forest City; son, Justin Byers (Becky Cole) of Forest City; three grandchildren, sisters, Teresa Vaughn of Boiling Springs, Brenda Hendrix of Bostic, Kim Smith (Reggie) of Shiloh, uncle, Garland Byers of Forest City and a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral was conducted February 18, 2022 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ernie Cole officiating.

Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.
