Marvin Overcash, 80, of Rutherfordton, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011.
Funeral services were held at First United Methodist Church.
A native of Iredell County, he was the son of the late Marvin Overcash, Sr and Lutelle Collins Overcash.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Dorothy Wray Overcash; son Thad Overcash and wife Meloney of Rutherfordton; and two nieces, Dr. Sylvia Campbell of Arlington, VA and Robin Penor of Birmingham, AL.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Davies Overcash and a sister Betty Yocum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, POB 336, Forest City, NC 28043 or First United Methodist Church, 264 N. Main Street, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
