Mary Gwendolyn Gettys, age 78

Mary Gwendolyn Gettys, age 78 of Bostic, died May 6, 2022.

Gwen as she was known was born in Rutherford County on February 28, 1944, and was the daughter of the late Howard Doyle White and Ruth Melton White.

Gwen was a member of Sunshine Church and she retired from Tanner Companies.

Survivors include brothers, Lawrence White and wife Martha Jean of Bostic, Gary White and his wife Vickie of New Bern, her caregiver, Pete Frazier, and a niece and nephew.

A graveside service was held May 9 at Sunshine Church with Rev. Clyde Lovelace officiating.
