Mary Harper Silvers, age 89, a longtime resident of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

Mary was born December 25, 1936 in Bloomington, Indiana to the late Denver Ray Harper and Ethel Marie Groves Harper. Mary was a homemaker and worked in textiles for many years. She was a member of the Little White Country Church in Gilkey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Daniel Silvers and her son, Steve Silvers.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Jeff Silvers and wife, Kay; seven granddaughters and thirteen great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 7m on Thursday, September 17 at Spindale Fellowship Holiness with Rev. Buddy Campbell and Rev. Chad Sisk officiating. The family will receive friends starting at 6:30pm prior to the service at the church.
