Mary Jones Pannell, 88, of Ellenboro, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2012. A native of Lattimore, she was born on July 12, 1923, a daughter of the late Buren and Idella Green Jones. She was a home maker and member of Race Path Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and a G.A. and WMU Leader.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Graham Pannell; her brothers, Miles Jones, William Jones, George Jones and Jack Jones; her sisters, Rosiland Holland, Nell Southards, and Libby Panther.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Pannell and wife Carol of Ellenboro and Gene Pannell and wife Judy of Boiling Springs, SC; her grandchildren, Jason Pannell and wife Nickie, Daniel Pannell, Michelle Edge and husband David, and John Pannell; her great grandchildren, Mackenzie Edge, Baylee Edge, Raven Pannell and Nickolas Pannell.
A Celebration of Life was held at Race Path Baptist Church with the Rev. Randall Cooper and Rev. John Godfrey officiating.
