Mary Sue Kiser, age 95, of Forest City, NC, went home peacefully to be with the Lord after a brief illness.

Mary was born September 1, 1916 in Rutherford County to the late Asbury Kiser and Nola Goode Kiser.  She was a homemaker who enjoyed flowers, crafts, embroidery and cross-stitch.  She was a longtime member of Sandy Mush Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul “Bill” Kiser, John Kiser, Edgar Kiser and Claude Kiser; two sisters, Cleo Kiser and Hazel Culbreth.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Barbara Cole; one son, Howard Bridges; one sister, Ruth Davis; one granddaughter, Diane Yelton and husband, Aaron; two great-grandchildren, Alyssa Yelton and Bryson Yelton all of Forest City. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Jerry Hames officiating.      The family wishes to convey their deepest gratitude to Hospice of Rutherford County for their loving care of Mary and to Rhonda Patton for her love and concern during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice of Rutherford County, POB 336, Forest City, NC  28043.
