Max Holland, age 84, of Ellenboro, passed away Friday, June 9, 2023.

Max was born November 5, 1938 in Rutherford County to the late Joseph Holland and Edna Ruth Biggerstaff Holland. He worked for Burlington Industries for many years and was a member of Goodes Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Georlene Holland, a son, Randy Holland, a brother, Gordon Holland, two sisters, Louise Ayers and Patricia Ann Crawford.

Those left to cherish fond memories are daughters, Lisa Blanton (Dwayne), Mary Jo Teseniar (Don); son Alan Holland (Sharon), brother, Ron Mauney; 10 grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

A funeral service was conducted June 12 at Goodes Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Welch officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations requested to the Senior Citizens of Goodes Creek Baptist Church, PO 720, Cliffside, NC 28024.
