A television program, featuring an interview with billionaire Robert McNair and filmed at Isothermal Community College, will air several times in coming weeks.

Carolina Business Review, hosted by Chris William, was taped on Friday, May 15, in the Broadcast Production Technology studio at Isothermal.

The interview was arranged by Isothermal's president, Walter Dalton, as part of the Robert and Janice McNair Speaker Series on Free Enterprise and Entrepreneurship.

The half hour show will air on several occasions and channels including:

- UNC TV (MX) - Friday, June 12, 11 a.m. and Sunday, June 14, 8:30 a.m.

- ETV (SCC) - June 11, 9:30 p.m.

- ETV World - Wed., June 17, 5 p.m. and Friday, June 19, 6 p.m.

- ETV - Sunday, August 9, Noon

McNair is the owner of the NFL's Houston Texans. He grew up in Rutherford County and has built several very successful businesses.

He was in the county that weekend to help give out ROPE Awards to nearly 100 students from East Rutherford and Chase high schools and to thank approximately 200 individuals who volunteer as mentors with the McNair Educational Foundation.

"Isothermal Community College, and our community in general, cannot thank Robert and Janice McNair enough for giving back and investing in educational opportunities for our citizens," said Dalton. "They are special people who have blessed this community in many ways."

Two Isothermal students Chuck Thompson and Michael Lane assisted with camera operation during the production of the show.

"We certainly were honored to have Chris William and Carolina Business Review produce their show on our campus, and thanks to Chris for moderating our McNair Speaker Series," said Dalton. "It was a special treat for our students to operate the cameras for a real television show. We hope they will return often. They are very special friends."

The McNair Speaker Series featured two other events, both panel discussions hosted by William at The Foundation Performing Arts and Conference Center.

The speakers included Mike Almond, an attorney and economic development expert from Charlotte; Gordon Myers, an Asheville business veteran who headed Ingles Markets for years; Lew Ebert, president of the North Carolina Chamber; Dr. Sumy Joseph, president and laboratory director of Cohesion Phenomics in Spindale; Louis Foreman, founder and chief executive of Charlotte-based Eventys; and Dan St. Louis, director of the Manufacturing Solutions Center at Catawba Valley Community College.
