Melinda Brotherston Curtis, age 64 of Dover, Tennessee died Wednesday, August 30, 2023.

Mindy, as she was known to her family and friends, was born June 7, 1959, in Forest City and was a daughter of the late Ernest E. Wood, Jr. and Peggy Lowery Padgett.

She served in the United States Army in the Military Police.

Survivors include her husband, Steven Curtis, her sisters, Sammy and Mel, her daughters Miranda, Myra, and Krista, as well as nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held September 6 in the Padgett and King Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dr. Garin Hill officiating. Military Honors were accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
